About the role

Reporting into Manager Legal & Joint Company Secretary, the primary purpose of the Advisor Tenure and Land Access is securing and managing Atlas’ tenement portfolio and land access agreements to meet business objectives and to develop and maintain positive relationships with key stakeholders including landowners, Native Title parties, Pastoralists, Native Title Representative Bodies and government departments to ensure delivery of land access outcomes.

 

Main responsibilities of the role include:

  • Responsible for managing the company’s tenement portfolio.
  • Proactively attending to Mining Act compliance matters such as objections, extension of term applications, expenditure reporting, rental payments, relinquishments, dealings.
  • Implementation of and compliance with Atlas’ land access agreements including developing and maintaining agreement compliance registers and compiling monthly / quarterly reporting of activities and initiatives.
  • Monitoring ground acquisition opportunities.
  • Contribute to due diligence reports and tenure investigations.

 

About you

To be successful in this role, you will have:

 

  • Previous experience working in a tenement and land access capacity.
  • Formal qualifications in Land Access and Tenement Management, Bachelor of Law degree or similar qualifications would be well regarded but not essential.
  • Specialist knowledge in areas of Mining Act compliance such as objections, extension of term applications, expenditure reporting, rental payments, relinquishments, dealings.
  • Experience using Landtracker software package (or similar) highly desirable.
