About the role

 

Reporting into the General Manager Human Resources the primary purpose of the Learning and Organisational Development Specialist is to lead the development and implementation of people strategies and change management plans that increase organisational effectiveness, deliver business results, and maximise employee engagement and retention.

 

Main responsibilities of the role include:

 

  • Develop initiatives to foster a safe, inclusive, and collaborative culture for current and future employees, supported by modern thinking and practices for a contemporary business.
  • Develop required organisational learning and development capabilities and capacity across the organisation using modern change practices and principles and other innovative organisational development methods.
  • Develop and disseminate communications material to build awareness and acceptance of organisational changes.
  • Identify key stakeholders for change initiatives and work with stakeholders to overcome technical and adaptive challenges.
  • Role model effective personal leadership behaviours to support long-term sustainable adoption of values-based leadership across the organisation.
  • Investigate and identify future ways of working and design innovative ways to engage employees and leaders around new mindsets and new ways of working.
  • Conduct impact analysis to assess change readiness and identify, analyse, prepare risk mitigation tactics as part of the change management process.
  • Conduct learning needs analysis focused on future skills and ways of working and develop learning plans and associated material. Facilitate training/learning as required.
  • Manage, implement, and monitor learning plans using Atlas Learning Management System (LMS). Implement and continuously improve governance and reporting across the LMS.

To be successful in this role, you will have:

 

  • Relevant qualifications in learning, coaching and organisational development.
  • Minimum 5 years of relevant experience in learning and organisational development.
  • Communications experience in effectively implementing organisational learning and development initiatives to maximise employee engagement. 
  • Development of organisational learning and development strategies.
  • Experience in assessing learning needs and creating the associated learning material.
  • Experience in development of communication plans and associated tools.
  • Experience in developing, implementing and managing learning using leading edge technology, systems and tools.
  • Ability to evaluate information quickly, identify key issues and formulate conclusions based on sound, practical judgement, experience and common sense.
  • Ability to build and develop collaborative relationships with key stakeholders, interact and influence people across all levels of the business.
  • Flexible in approach with an adaptive style to suit changing workplace requirements.
